Grab a drink and cozy up to my bar. My name is Brian and I love to travel the world, but I do it through one very specific (yet also vast) lens – food and beverage (actually beverage and food would be the better fitting order). If that is a passion of yours, we are in this together now.
Some people seek out museums, I seek out mixed-culture saisons. Some people go hiking, I hike across town for an interesting take on a Negroni. Some people search for souvenirs, I search for the best street tacos. For the past 20 years I have been traveling like this, and I find it to be the best way to experience new places and cultures. Sharing a drink or a meal creates a universal language that unites us all, if you are open to it.
After selfishly keeping these experiences to myself for far too long, it is time to share them with you to transform your travel. I’ve been to over 400 breweries around the world; I will share with you my favorites (I also take overly fancy photos of beer which will be coming your way). Some of my favorite meals range from Michelin star stunners to street markets; let’s navigate them both. I have a home bar full of more spirits than I will ever drink; let me pour you a dram.
I believe when you put food and drink first, you end up learning more about a place than you ever thought possible (don’t worry you’ll still see the sights, it just may be from afar). I’m not much of a history buff, but I do fully believe and embrace one thing:
